Out of New York, and (L)INto Houston

The “Hero from Harvard” Jeremy Lin became a topic of discussion this off-season amidst all the free agent frenzy. After the Houston Rockets agreed to terms on a 4 yr/$28.8 million deal with the restricted free agent, all indications pointed to the New York Knicks matching the offer to keep their new point guard in the big apple. However, after the Rockets revised their offer to give Lin nearly $15 million in the third year of the deal, the Knicks had no choice but to give up the pursuit of the sensational player. Signing Lin to the contract would have put the Knicks over the salary cap in the 2014-15 NBA season with just the contracts of Lin, Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler, and Amare Stoudemire, which would give the Knicks a hefty sum of cash to pay up in that year that they simply cannot afford.

We want to know what you guys think. Will the Knicks be better off with Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd sharing the point guard minutes, or should the Knicks have kept Jeremy Lin at all costs?
