How Taking Pictures and Videos Can Capture Memories

Every parent of a youth athlete wants to attend games and scream for their kids from the sidelines, but very few want to tire out their arms taking pictures, and even fewer want to videotape for upwards of an hour. So what’s the upside for a parent using cameras and camcorders during games?

You may not appreciate the value now, but having pictures and videos of your child playing sports years after they’ve already grown up provides a great way to reminisce on old times. Not only will you get a kick out of seeing your now grown up child as a kid once again, but they will also rekindle your child’s memories of playing youth sports. On top of this, you can also show these pictures to aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents that may have never been able to come see your child compete. You may feel now that taking pictures and videos is a waste of time and money on something that will never be used again, but I am confident you will find yourself wishing you had them.

So next time your kid has a sporting event, grab the camera or camcorder and shoot a few minutes if you have some time.
